Steve came to PCRL in 1991 for about a year during a period when jazz music was taking on an insurgence of interest in the UK. He ran a local jazz magazine called The Vibe (before Quincy Jones used the same name), but then named it UK Vibe. He was the first guy to do a Jazz program on PCRL albeit with some Soul music included that took his interest. Kenny B had done this time slot, (12-2pm Sunday's) before him but by now had now left the Station, Kenny B also liked his Jazz music.
Steve was a supporter of Mickey Nold's Breakfast show, Basement soul, he would sometimes help with a tribute or two. Steve can be found taking part in the 1992 Christmas Breakfast show on our Television page. He still runs his UK Vibe via the internet and can be found at : www.ukvibe.org
